CLAT 2020 – Consortium of National Law Universities has postponed CLAT 2020. Now the exam will be held on September 28, 2020. CLAT is a national level law entrance exam. It will be held in computer-based mode, for UG and PG law admission in LLB, LLB 5 year Integrated, LLM, etc courses. CLAT 2020 Exam Frequently Asked Questions
Ans : The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020 is an Offline Test of 2 hours. The paper for UG programmes have 200 Multiple choice Based questions of 1 mark each. And the paper for PG Programmes have 100 MCQs of 1 mark each and 2 Essay type questions of 25 marks each. There is a negative marking of 0.25 for both UG and PG programmes.
Ans : CLAT is conducted by 21 NLUs on a rotational basis. The conducting university is yet to be announced on the official website.
Ans : All the candidates must have passed the qualifying examination or equivalent examination with an aggregate of 45 % marks (for UG aspirants) and 55 % marks (for PG aspirants).
Ans : The syllabus for UG programme is – English Including Comprehension, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Mathematics, Legal Aptitude and Logical Reasoning. For PG Programme aspirants, the questions are asked from the Constitutional law and other subjects such a Contract, Torts, Criminal Law, International Law, IPR and Jurisprudence.
Ans : The cut off for CLAT 2020 will be released after the declaration of the Result on the official website.
Ans : 21 NLUs will accept the score of CLAT 2020. Apart from the NLUs, there are many other Private universities/ colleges which accepts the score of CLAT.
Ans : The mode of CLAT 2020 is Offline mode.
Ans : The difficulty level of CLAT 2020 is easy to moderate as per last year’s exam session.
Ans : The Selection of the candidates is done on the basis of Merit list.
